He is survived by: his wife Thelma Mabel Laird; his sister Lowana Fisher (Melvin); and his children, Connie Lynn Ivers (John), Bonnie Anna Shuler (Kevin), Fred Meredith Laird (Jeannette) and Ellis Lowen Laird (Lezlie).
