He was predeceased by: his parents, Holger Magnus and Veda Aldean Sanders; and his siblings, Kenneth Gordon, William Jay, Margaret Ann and Marilyn Louise.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his siblings, Holger Junior Sanders, Val Eugene Sanders (Peggy), Mary Lee Pitcher, OndaLyn 'Lyn' Hoth (Marlin) and Lennis Herbert Sanders (Wendy); and his children, Peggy Leigh Hardman (Kim), Sharon Kae Rich (Brad), Teresa Boyington (Kent), Richard Brian Sanders (Jenny) and Douglas Richard Sanders (Jodie). He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
