He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude L. Long and Opal Mae Speiser (Dixon); his stepfather Fred Speiser; his sisters, Viola Ormond and Wanda Goss; his grandson Michael McGee; his great grandchild Harvey J. Summers; and his siblings-in-law, John and Della Thayn.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Long of Hyrum; his children, Cyndi Falor (Jeff), Rod Long (Cindy), Valorie Hancock and Byron Long (Anissa); his grandmother Chris; his sister Sandy Palmer (Emmett) of Fruita, CO; and his stepbrother Rex Speiser. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and many extended family.
