He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Robert Shoemaker and Lola Loraine Ward; and his siblings, John Shoemaker and Lyola Greene. He is survived by: his children, Joseph Arthur Shoemaker (Kimberly), Daniel Jefferson Shoemaker (Suzanne), Tamara Lynn Barnard and Andrew Jefferson Shoemaker (Jessica); and his brothers, Byron and Patrick DeSerisy. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
