He is survived by: his daughter Falysha Gilbert Thompson (Tysen Avery); his grandchildren, Anchor Ray Thompson, Legend Ellington Thompson and Baylor Shayde Avery; his parents, Herb Gilbert and Charlotte Gilbert; and his sisters, Shelly Lynn Buckley (Chandler) and Janeen Olsen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
