She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Hines and Marian Parker Hines; her parents-in-law, John and Genevieve Newey; and her son-in-law Jason Bowden.

She is survived by: her siblings, Tish, Cathy, Robert, Karen and Stephen; her husband Paul J. Newey of College's Union Building; and her children, Lisa Moxham (Marc), Jeff Newey (Stacy), Jana Asbill (Jeremy), Brett Newey, Jen Checketts (Chris) and Matt Newey (Felisha). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and her five siblings.
