He was predeceased by: his parents, Omune Yoshimura and Umato Nagao; his wife Mary; and his brother Hiro Nagao. He is survived by: his children, Dennis C. Nagao (Linda) of Bountiful, UT, Steven M. Nagao (Wendy) of Bountiful, UT, Robert G. Nagao (Sheri) of Bountiful, UT and Pamela Nagao of Bountiful, UT; his grandchildren, Madison Koji Jordan (Michael) and Kristen Taylor (Damien); his great grandchild Sage Taylor; and his spouse Wendy.
