It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan (Jennings) Nelson of Honeyville, Utah, born in Casper, Wyoming, who passed away on February 23, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruce M. Jennings, Jr. and Ruby Berneice Jennings (Locke); her brothers, Bruce M. Jennings III and Gordon Jene Jennings; her brother-in-law William Vernen Plocek; and her half-sister Beverly Jennings.
She is survived by: her husband Bruce Nelson; her children, Bruce Martin Nelson (Jason Maurer) of Austin, TX, Kirk Nelson (Indi Nelson) of Petersboro, UT, Thomas Nelson (Cassie Nelson) of Germany, Jenalee Esplin (Carson Esplin) of Smithfield, UT, Chad Nelson (Kelsey Nelson) of Arlington, WA and Kyla Hillam (Jeremy Hillam) of Thatcher, UT; and her siblings, Charles Jennings of Willard, UT and Maribeth Plocek of Casper, WY.. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Honevyille LDS Church (2620 W 6980 N, Honeyville, UT 84314). Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Honeyville Church (2620 W 6980 N, Honeyville, UT 84314). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
