She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis Hammer and Louisa Day Hammer; and her husband Charles Ray'Gil'Anderton. She is survived by: her sister Glenda Wayne Sharp; and her children, Charles'Chuck'Anderton, David Anderton (Mary), Steve Anderton (Deann) and Cathy Trussell (James). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren who she dearly loved, 8 great-grandchildren, and several beloved nieces and nephews and several very dear friends.

Countless books lined the walls of her home, and she made several book donations to local libraries.
