She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude McGuire and Lawrence Zimmer; her son Mark Sweat; her children-in-law, Carol Sweat and Floyd Ries; and her grandchildren, Spencer Sweat, Kaylynn and Jessica Sweat.

She is survived by: her former husband Boyd Sweat; and her children, Dale Sweat (Linda), Steven Sweat, John Sweat (Barb) and Jayne Ries. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren.
