He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Ritchie and Hannah Whiting Ritchie (Anne). He is survived by: his brother John; his wife Wendy Elizabeth Peterson of Monroe Utah; his children, Linda and David; his siblings, Roy and Diane Hunsaker (Teryl); and his daughters, Becky Mossman (Duke) and Pam Stone (Steve). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was a founding member of the Wasatch Community Foundation and Wasatch Alumni Association, also serving on the Wasatch County Board of Adjustments.
