He was predeceased by: his parents, John Grover and Lurena Kearns Childs; his wife Beverly Nielson of Ephraim, Utah.; and his siblings, Cleo Childs, DeOn Childs Wasden and Cloyd William Childs.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Childs (Lindon), Scott Childs (Robyn), Karen Mellor (Murray) and Lynette Teuscher (Bruce); and his sister Wilma Childs Nielsen. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Its foundation was his strength, its walls his integrity and its roof his sheltering love.
