He was predeceased by: his parents, Evelyn Smith and Morris Smith; his siblings, Irvin Smith, Beatrice Durfee, Delsie Teeter, Owen Smith, William Smith and Eugene Smith; and his son-in-law David Wirick.
He is survived by: his wife Delma; his children, Susan Wirick (David), Karma Allred (Kevin), Alan Smith (Judy), Becky Rasmussen and Tracy Boyd (Ben); and his brother Clarence Smith. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
