He was predeceased by: his mother Sheila McDonald Simmons; his daughter Cherokee Simmons; his sister Marie Armus; his stepfather Richard Kenyon; his parents-in-law, Charolette Conder and Ardell Conder; and his brother-in-law Mitch Conder.

He is survived by: his father Dave Simmons (Donna); his wife Betty Simmons; his children, Poppy Atwood (Weston), Sonnyray Simmons (Shena), Summer Simmons, Maqualia Simmons (Harley), Daniel Simmons and Spencer Simmons; his sister-in-law Penny Todino (Tony); his son Mickey Conder (Ellie); and his brother Tyler Kenyon. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
