He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Ralph Bishop and Melba Maxine Hansen; his former wife Anita Irene Eberhard; his wife Gail Larsen; his brother Sidney R. Bishop (Pat); and his children, Jodie Milligan (Ron), Jeffery R. Bishop, Shawn Rogers (Kellie), Jeffrey Rogers (Erin), Boyd Rogers (Carissa), Lori Hawes (Craig) and Brooke Rogers (Jodie). He was also cherished by 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

The family suggests the wearing of masks and proper social distancing.

The family recommends donations in Bill's name to the Garland Volunteer Fire Department.
