He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Coombs and LaRae Coombs; and his wife Danita Taylor Coombs. He is survived by: his siblings, Gayla Coombs, Curtis Coombs (Cristine), Reatha Hansen (Drew), Kevin Coombs (Yvonne), Stephanie Bowen (Mark) and Mike Coombs (Fawn); his stepson Jaron Taylor (April Burris); and his pet Maximus. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
