He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul and Afton Spence of Garden City; and his brother Paul Kay Spence (Merle Thomas Spence). He is survived by: his spouse Merle Thomas; his daughters, JoAnn Andersen, Mickie Layton (Craig), Barbara Rich (Terry), Colleen Braegger (Thayne), Vickey Sink (Doug) and Karen Spence; and his half-siblings, Jerry Glenn (Linda) and Betty Cady. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren.
