He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Richard and Francis Irene Thompson Venable; his wife Betty; his daughter Cathy (Tom Clark); his daughter-in-law Kathy (Chad Venable); his grandchildren, Sheldon Clark and Jamie Lacefield; and his sister Betty Sawyer.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Venable (Janice), Terry Venable (Cindy), Chad Venable (Christy) and Troy Venable (Jodi). He is also survived by 16 granddaughters, 6 grandsons, 65 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
