It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garrett Martinez of Fort Duchesne, Utah, born in Roosevelt, Utah, who passed away on August 22, 2021, at the age of 48, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Darnell Rick and Joann Hazel Wash Martinez; his brothers, Keith Tohannie and Silas Chimburas; his uncles, Robert, Merlin and Ernie Martinez; and his aunt Kathleen Martinez.
He is survived by: his former wife April Serawop; his brother Joseph Tohannie; his uncle Raymond Martinez, Sr.; his aunts, Roberta Grant and Lola Whitetail; and his great-aunt Alice Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles, and grandchildren.
