He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaudene Geiger and Ray Monroe Hanchett; his wife Christine Renea Thorsen; and his siblings, Vessa Hanchett McGrath, Elmo Hanchett, Brose Hanchett, Dona Hanchett Payne, Ila Hanchett Romney, Ray Mc Hanchett, Garth Hanchett, Emmitt Linn Hanchett, Royene Linn Arbaugh and Jimmy Linn Hanchett.
He is survived by: his friend Dean Lunt; his children, Brian Hanchett (Andraya), Jim Hanchett (Tammy), Carrie Wells (Daiman), Renee Robison-Hanchett (Cynthia), Mark Hanchett (Tiffany), Jeffrey Hanchett (Jen) and Cheryl Gilbert; and his siblings, Raydene Cluff, Chloa Lurlene James, Chuck Hanchett and Dean Lunt. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as his lifelong friend.
