She was predeceased by: her father Evans; her siblings, Rosalind and Richard Ray; her grandparents, John, Edith Harbertson, Raymond and Mattie Ray; and her niece Joscelyn Galbraith.

She is survived by: her husband Brent Checketts; her siblings, Steven Ray (Cathy) and Rachelle Galbraith (Robert); and her children, Chad (Crystal), Ryan, Nicole, Kimberly Futey (Jean-Jacques), Brandon (Dorthy) and Christopher (Jen). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and her nieces and nephews.
