He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Grant Read and Thelma Leona DeYoung; and his siblings, Dolores Kimbal (Don) and William Read. He is survived by: his children, Scott (Desari), Chris (Peggy), Richard (Diane), David (Emily) and Stephen (Julie); his wife Virginia; and his sister Karen Johnston (Dale). He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to be made to the Humanitarian Fund or Missionary Fund of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
