She was predeceased by: her parents, LeGrande Sanders and Lela Layton Hess; her husband Lyndon Ray Evans; and her son-in-law Douglas Barnes. She is survived by: her children, Tamera Barnes, Mark Evans, Lance Evans (Jennifer) and Kimberly Nguyen (Huy). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
