She was loved and cherished by many people including: her spouse Chuck; her children, Jeanne Kenney, Sandra Schiszler (Mike) and Marie Aroune Zamora; her great grandchildren, Dawn Mallory, Sonja Schiszler, Chris Schiszler (Jillian, Ben, Lucy), Tony Childs (Amanda, Kevlyne, Kayden) and David Childs; her sibling Delores DeMarti; and her pets, Sadie and Princess.
In lieu of flowers, Joan would have preferred donations to the Huntsman Cancer Institute.
