He was predeceased by: his parents, Leola Mortensen and Edward K. Dowd Sr. (Ted); and his wife Nancy Marrelli Dowd. He is also survived by his son, daughters, several grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, his sister, and several nieces and nephews.
