He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Georgia; his parents, Frank Ewell and Francis Ewell; his sister Ethel Ross; his daughter Juanita Lamb; his son-in-law Martin Peterson; his great grandchildren, Ryland William Burnett and Austin Wilson Breen; his children, Rada Burnett (Bill), Jacqueline Poulson (Sterling), Mont Peterson (Kirsty), Russell Peterson (Heidi), Shane Peterson (Robin), Launa Chouquer and Guy Looney; and his siblings, Debbi Sanderson and James Ewell. He was also cherished by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
