He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter Gracie and Veryle Cottam; and his grandson Bowdy Stowe. He is survived by: his former wife Gloria Jean Porter; his children, Tenisa Foster (Neil), Trudy Stowe (Micheal), Kimberly Richards (Kasey) and Derrick LaMar Gracie; and his brothers, Dean Gracie, Danny Gracie (Debbie) and Daryl Gracie (Johanna). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren.
