He was predeceased by: his parents, Alburn Griffin and Neoma Schow Griffin; his great-great-grandparent Hyrum Smith; his grandparents, Ernest Adelbert Griffin and Brother Hyrum; his son Mark Griffin; his granddaughter Angelie Volker; and his siblings, DeLane, Cecil, Vaunnie and Floy.

He is survived by: his children, Gary Griffin (Sheila) of Woodland Hills, Brent Griffin (Kathie), Melanie Johnston (Joseph "J. J.") of Las Vegas, NV and Stephanie Henrie (Dave); his daughter-in-law Tina Griffin; and his brother Lynn Griffin (Judy). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 23 great- grandchildren.
