He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dean Cox and Margaret Lucas Magnuson; his siblings, Kent Cox, Mardean Cox, Sharon Cox Fox and Ellen Faye Magnuson; and his son Richard Shayne Cox.
He is survived by: his former wife Sharon Ann Reid; his wife Hazel Luora Henningson; his siblings, John Magnuson (Tawna), Kathy Vuksinick (Norman) and Castle Dale; and his children, Karl Stringham (Shelley), Ileen Baker, Emery and Mac Stringham (Deanee). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
