He was predeceased by: his parents, Virl Evert Winder and Thelma Black; and his siblings, Evert and Dorothy. He is survived by: his sister Emma LaRae Weber of Elmo; his sister-in-law Gloria A. Winder (late Evert) of Price; his aunt LaDean Weight (Black) of Stansbury Park; and his friend Nena Allen of Huntington, Utah.. He is also survived by seven nieces and one nephew, plus many great nieces and nephews.
