He was predeceased by: his parent Lynn Jones; his wife Carol Jean Porter Jones; his daughter Shelly Jones; his mother Fern Hunsaker Jones Mecham; his stepfather Klell Mecham; and his siblings, Myrna Mead, Ravenna Firth, Randy Jones and Reggie Jones.

He is survived by: his children, Ward Jones (Lisa), Cody Jones and Corrina Mitchell (Hank); his brother Kyle Jones; and his brother-in-law Ben Mead. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren.
