Troy Steen Obituary

We bid farewell to Troy Steen of Eagle Mountain, Utah, born in Ogden, Utah, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 5, 2025 at the age of 45. Troy touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Troy Steen to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid Troy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Troy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

He is survived by: his wife Sarah; his parents, Roy (Anne Steen) and Erik; and his siblings, Lise (Jeremy) and Coby (Jessica). He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park (17111 S Camp Williams Rd, Bluffdale, UT 84065).

In lieu of flowers, donations to the surviving family's GoFundMe would be greatly appreciated: https://www.gofundme.com.

Jess Johnson wrote a sympathy message

“It was a bittersweet day today as I joined many in paying tribute to Troy at his funeral service. Troy was my Supply Sergeant for A Co, 142nd MI BN and deployed with us to Afghanistan 2008-2009. He was a fun loving dedicated individual and honorable soldier. Condolences to Sarah, the children, and his parents and siblings and others who got to know him during his life journey. He will be missed. I was grateful to attend his military honors funeral service. My heart goes out to Sarah and family.”
