He was predeceased by: his parents, Lillian Pearl Gerber Berrett and Paul Orin Berrett. He is survived by: his wife Diane Judkins Berrett of Eagle Mountain; his children, Crystal Smith (Jim) of Lehi, Katie Salter (Sean) of Layton, Sheri Mueller (Peter) of Saratoga Springs and Paul Berrett (Sofia) of Saratoga Springs; and his siblings, Shaunna Cuevas (Sergio) of Plains City, Cynthia Boyle (Dave) of Monroe, Louisiana, Leon Berrett (Lori) of Riverton, Bruce Berrett of Orem, Karen Cleveland (Ric) of Ephrata, Pennsylvania, Mark Berrett (Rebecca) of Oregon and Doug Berrett (Shauna) of Orem. He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren.
