He is survived by: his mother Georgina Margetanski Schaeffer; his daughters, Brianna Ashley of Nevada and Allison; his son-in-law Arthur Evensen of Phoenix, AZ; his children, Lauren Schaeffer (Michael McMahon), Johnny Schaeffer (Maddie Cox), Haley Schaeffer and Zach Schaeffer of Utah; his sisters, Ann Martin of King, NC, Sharon McCombs (Robert Richardson) of Galax, VA and Debra; his brother-in-law Chris Diamond of Riverview, FL; his brother Kenneth; his sister-in-law Kathy Schaeffer Jr. of Morehead City, NC; his brother George Schaeffer of Galax, VA; and his grandchildren, Adilyn, Ellie, Charlie and Brooklynn. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
