She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, George Bales and Nonie Mae Bales; her children, Don Sprecher (Teresa) of Kanab, UT, Pamela Helms (Randall) of Duchesne, UT and Darrel Sprecher (Lynett) of Duchesne, UT; her husband Kenneth Maurice LaFond; her daughter Gail Robertson; and her grandson Reuben Helms. She was also cherished by 20 grandchildren.

During the pandemic, she made masks for the Duchesne Clinic.
