He was predeceased by: his mother Myrtle Edno Rouch Pilling; his children, Sherry Lee Pilling and Timothy Norman Pilling; his brother Larry Pilling; and his parent Bert D. Pilling.
He is survived by: his wife Bernice Pilling; and his children, Davin Pilling, Melinda Mitchell (Jim), Arbun Pilling and Graig Pilling. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
