He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James LaMar Christensen and Glenna Simmons Christensen; and his children, Stephen, Stacie, McKay, David, Lisanne and Tiffany. He was also cherished by his wife and a bustling brood of six children, their spouses, and twenty grandchildren.

He donated his extra time to the church, serving in various church callings.
