She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Samuel Boyington and Brunelda Marie Jacobsen Boyington; and her child Georgann Shell. She is survived by: her husband George William Shell, Jr.; her children, Phillip Shell (Katie), Frieda Franchina (Brad) and Lloyd Shell (Lauriann); her sister Joan Akelund; her grandchildren, Christine, Danielle, Spencer (Elisse), Scott, Zachary (Megan), Jordan (Michelle), Sariah, Rebekah and Emma; and her great grandchildren, Tanner, Oliver, Noah, Bailey, Elina, Penelope, Owen and Carter.
