He is survived by: his wife Erma Jean Bates; his children, Shawn of Delta, Kean Maxfield of Delta, Angie McElroy of Louisiana, Tracy Benson of Delta and Jolene Fritzges of Delta; and his brothers, Garff and Dwight. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
