He was predeceased by: his parents, Verion Starley Day and Alice Fern Bennett Day; and his granddaughter Madison Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Corrinne Hamilton; his children, Austin Day (Misty) of Delta, Cherice Boese (Doug) of St George and Denise Johnson (Travis) of Oak City; and his grandchildren, Saxon Day (McKall), Ryland Day (Preslee), Jake Day (Macey), Saylor, Atalie Day, Dayden Johnson, Calder Johnson, Kanyon Johnson, Raylee Johnson, Chance Boese (Chelsea), Skyler Boese, Cassidy Mehringer (Andrew) and Sydney Boese.
After his diagnosis with Parkinson's Disease, he was able to cross off his biggest bucket list item by going on an Alaskan cruise.
