He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Eldon and Bertrice Dewsnup Erickson; his brothers, Ralph and Lavoy; and his great grandchildren, Oakley Turner and James Jensen.

He is survived by: his former spouse Ladawn Gayle Mecham; his spouse Leslie Christiansen; and his children, David Erickson (Shelly), Kathy Mooney (Lance), Judy Erickson, Merrill Erickson, Natalie Erickson and Jennie Nicolls (Andrew). He is also survived by 24 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren.
