He was predeceased by: his siblings, Joyce and Roger; his granddaughter Madison; and his great-niece Kapri. He is survived by: his children, Shaun Dansie, Travis Johnson (Denise), Christopher Johnson (Stacy), Stephanie Lorentzen (Scot) and Peter Johnson; and his siblings, Doug Johnson (Jane), Dennis Johnson (Peggy), Lynda Hopkins (Dick) and Jewly Harris (Murray). He is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
