She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Sildem Joy and Rebecca Maude Gandy; her former husband Ralph K Christensen; her children, Kay Christensen (Gaylynn), Drew Christensen (Jean), Rulan Christensen (Shar), RuAnn Paben, Brenda Towers (Mark) and Eric Christensen (Terri); her foster daughter Merry Stowell (Scott); and her husband F. Paul Burr. She was also cherished by 29 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
