He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ivan Thompson and Connie Griffin; his wife JoeAnn Malmberg; and his children, MerLynn Barson (Robert), Jay Thompson (Lori) and Shauna Hillyard (Scott). He was also cherished by 10 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.
