She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward William and Mary Elizabeth Larson Evans; and her stepchildren, Jack, Samuel and Gwen.

She is survived by: her husband Samuel Cutler Bowler; her former husband Frederick "Bill" Knudsen of Morehead; and her stepson Donald. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and many, many nieces and nephews.
