Marolyn Young Leetham Obituary
Early in the morning of August 20, 2022, Marolyn Young Leetham, our "Grams" passed away in Centerville, Utah with her family near. She was born June 24, 1935 in Payson, Utah, to William Floyd Young and Ellen Warner Young. She grew up with a sister, Christine, and two brothers, Myron and Delbert. She was married to James Leetham; later divorced, and they had a daughter, ShaRee.
Marolyn worked for over 20 years for the Department of Agriculture. She loved to volunteer at the cannery. Her other enjoyment was sewing. She could be found hours at a time making baby blankets and burp cloths. She liked to bake and made the best brownies on earth. As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she was a dedicated visiting teacher, and loved serving with the other sisters in the wards she lived in.
She was devoted to her family, living solely for them and her church. Our "Grams" was one of the strongest women we know; and she was forgiving, kind, generous, loving and we will miss her dearly.
Marolyn is survived by her daughter, ShaRee Leetham Hansen of Bountiful, Utah; and her grandchildren: Randi Nicole Parlett, Garrett Cole Parlett, Haven Tayrees Hansen, and Ross Hansen; as well as great-grandchildren, Serenitee Rose Woolley, Onyx Rose Homer, and Haylo Grace Park. Additionally, "Nanty" was loved and is survived by her nephew and her nieces. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Christine Young Gillespie, Myron Young, and Delbert Young, A graveside service will be held Saturday, August 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery, 420 South 400 East, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660.
