He was predeceased by: his parents, Nettie Mae Theobald and William Leon Abbott; his wife Myrna Hunt Abbott; his son Todd George; his siblings, Nina Sorensen (Ken), Myron Lane Abbott, Quenton Abbott (Evie), Maclyn Abbott (Ruth), Ruth Losee (Glen), Dwight Abbott (Vera), C. L. Abbott (Louise), Verl Abbott (Lavina), George Abbott (Marilyn) and Claire Taylor (Mary Lue); and his great grandchild Parker Stephen Greenwood.
He is survived by: his daughters, Lori (Gene Bradford), Denise (Steven Bennett) and Tammy (David Hartley); his sister Mary Lue Taylor (Claire); his sisters-in-law, Louise Abbott (C. L.) and Marilyn Turner (George); his son L. Alan (Louise Abbott); and his daughter-in-law Jamie Taylor Abbott Christensen. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
