He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Vernon Herndon and Mary Francis Sholar Herndon; his siblings, Sondra, Kaye and Donald; and his daughter Melanie Anne.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia; his siblings, Billy (Nita) of California, Jamie, Nick of Cadiz and Joy of Cadiz; and his children, Rose Bonnell of Eagle Mountain, UT, Joel Herndon of Cedar Valley, UT, Jay Herndon of Murray, KY and Joanna Williams (Chad). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grand-children, and great-grandchildren.
He taught his children to think for themselves and to live with faith, hope, love, and charity.
