He is survived by: his grandsons, Michael and Gabriel; his great grandchild Maxwell; his daughter-in-law Sheila; his daughter Laura; his wife Barbara; his sister Emma Jean Johnston; and his children, Lynette Butler (Tim), David Workman (Lela), Jeanne Hendrix (Bruce), Russell Workman (Becky), Eric Workman (Shirley), Bobbi Jo Tibbitts (Doug), Julie Sessions (Travis) and Nanette Stevenson (Jared). He is also survived by nine children, 49 grandchildren.

“We love Brother Dan J. Workman and his wife, Barbara. They are such key examples in our lives since Bro. Workman was our Institute Director in 1962 and she was choir director. His teachings had a great impact on my life. I worked as his secretary at the Institute. He and Barbara were there for us from the time my husband and I were courting and married and after. She helped me when our first baby was born. We have met them at key times in our lives since then and love them so much!”
