He is survived by: his son Cesar A. Montaño, Sr.; his wives, Cesar and Sande; his brothers, Enrique (Karen) and Aldo; his mother-in-law Evetta Ekins; and also Elsa Davila Berrospi. He is also survived by daughters and their spouses: Anita (Michael) Bohman, GinaMarie (David) Rees, Lyndi (Trenton) Smith, and Katie (David) Ollmann; and 16 grandchildren.
